BACK WATER & VILLAGE TRIP @ BARISAL-The Vanis Of The East !!! ENJOY SUNRISE & SUNSET @ THE SAME BEACH IN KUAKATA

 

 

9644275 Day 1: Dhaka – Mongla -Sundarbans 

7 am start for Mongla via Mawa& cross the mighty river by Speedboat. ArriveMongla in the afternoon immediately board on the reserved motor boat headed to Sundarban, the world largest mangrove forest.

Will stop at Chandpai Forest Station to get the forest permeation and forest guards. Continue cruising through the river Mirgamari, Harintana, Shella etc. The cruise may take (6-7 hrs) depending on tide. During this long cruise you will be passing through the different forest islands. Dinner and stay overnight on the boat’s cabin.

 Day 2: Forest activities at Sundarbans mangrove forest

Reach Katka Island early in the morning.Will anchor the boat for subsequent forest activities. Will Explore inside the forest to observe the wild animals in their own domain. Take a boat cruise through the narrow cricks & you can enjoy the canal cruising by small country boat for bird watching.  After breakfast, some interesting forest activities will be organized which include climbing of watchtower to observe the wild animals, take interesting jungle hiking through the deep covered forest to have the closer look of wild animals and the mangrove vegetation. Walking through the Badamtala beach (2½km) will be a great experience to follow the tiger’s trail down to the beach and savannah type grass lands in the backdrop of the deep covered forest. Return to our boat and sail for KachikhaliIsland (Tiger Point – 2 hrs) which is very famous for wild life habitat and especially for the tiger’s domain.

In the afternoon take an adventurous forest hiking in the covered forest and as well as in the broad grass lands where you can easily observe the big herds of spotted deer and wild boar. To get the glimpse of burning bright shadow of the Royal Bengal Tiger is a common feature in this forest. Return to your boat and enjoy the dinner and stay overnight on the boat’s cabin.

BoatingDay 3:Sundarbans –Mongla 

Early in the morning, take a boat cruise by a small country boat in the famous KachikhaliKhal (canal) to observe colorful birds. Back to the boat and sail for return journey towards Mongla in a different way crossing so many rivers, canals, evergreen-forested islands that are not same so long you visited. You may expect to click your camera to shoot different wild animals like spotted Deer, Rhesus Macaque, colorful birds specially the white large Egrets, White bellied sea Eagle or huge Crocodiles basking on the shore especially in the winter or playful diving of Gangetic dolphins in the river water is a common feature. Reach Mongla in the evening & check in to the Pashur Motel for dinner & overnight at Mogla

 

 

Day 4: Mongla-Hularhat& Cruise by Paddle Steamer to Barisal 

After breakfast start for Hularhat, the river front to board on the heritage Paddle Steamer Service headed to Barisal. En-route visit Sixty Domed Mosque – UNESCO world heritage site at Bagerhat. Will board on the 1st class cabin of the Rocket steamer by2pm.

Steamer will cruise through some mighty rivers and you have opportunity to watch the scenic beauty of the rivers of this part of Bangladesh. You may enjoy the twinkling of the wave while crossing of some big rivers. It is really a great experience when you will enjoy the fishing by traditional boats, goods (vegetable, seasonal fruits etc) are carrying by engine boats and some of the sailing boats are still available in the river. Riverbanks are full of activities, which will give you pleasure and full fill your photographic interest.

It would be a unique experience watching the fishing with different type of fishing nets and traps still using traditional sailing boats in this program. You may busy with your camera to shoot on some exciting activities &livelihood of the locals who are living at the riverside villages. You will pass small river ports, local bazaars, paddy fields, rice mills, brickfields, workshops for water vessel, bulls & cattle are bathing in the river, Boatmen drawing their boats by the string with their hands miles away. In the evening will disembark the steamer & transfer to local restaurant for dinner. Check in your designated hotel at Barisal for overnight

 Day 5: Barishal –Kuakata –

Beach and Islands Trip After breakfast enjoy sightseeing tour at Barisal. After early lunch drive (4 hrs.) to Kuakata, famous for the sun-rise & sun-set from the same beach. Up on arrival at Kuakatatransfer tothe beach to enjoy the most enchanting and colorful sunset. Dinner and night stay at BPC, State Owned Motel in Kuakata.

Day 6: Local sightseeing & Transfer to Barisal

Wake up early in the morning and go to beach to enjoy the gorgeous beauty of sunrise. En-route visit beach side spots like Mishreepara Buddhist Temple, Old Wooden Boat etc. After breakfast cruise to Fatrar Char & explore the red Crabs Island. In the afternoon drive (4 hrs.) back to Barisal & transfer to your designated hotel for overnight stay.

Day 7: Excursion to back water trip to Floating Guava and Boat Market

In the morning proceed to Floating Markets for Wooden Boat (Friday); Rice & Vegetable (Saturday & Tuesday); Also seasonal fruits markets for a day long tour by a country engine boat. Also explore floating vegetable gardens to get a unique experience how farmers are growing vegetable on the floating beds. It is one of the most adventurous & exciting boating trip of Bangladesh. Our cruise will headed to Swarupkathi, the river port& a hub for Forestwoods and Nipa Palm Leaves from the Sunderbans. Late in the afternoon will return to Banaripara river port& transfer to Barisal. Board on the 1st class cabin of the Paddle Steamer & at 6 pm steamer will start for a overnight cruise to Dhaka.
