Somapra Vihara – the single biggest Buddhist monument, Sixty Domed Mosque at Bagerhat & Sundarbans, the largest mangrove forest; Mahasthangarh, the metropolis of 4 B.C.                         (6 Days / 5 Nights)

Day-1: Arrival Dhaka

Early morning depart from Delhi to Dhaka by AI 231 at 0830 hrs. Transfer to hotel for check in. Proceed to a city tour of Dhaka. Visit National Parliament building- Famous architect Louise I Kahn; Shahid Minar- Monument of Language movement, Curzon Hall- British building at Dhaka University; Lunch at cafeteria of Dhaka University. Visit Dhakeswari Temple -Oldest & central Hindu temple of the town; Lalbagh Fort- a Mughal architect or Visit National museum. Buffet Dinner at local restaurant.


Day-2: Dhaka-Mongla Via Mighty river Padma

7:30 am start for Mongla Via Mawa & cross mighty river Padma (Gangas) by ferry. Will have lunch at local restaurant on the way to Mongla & board on the motor launch & start cruise towards Kotka, the southern forest station in Sundarbans, the world largest mangrove forest. Will continue our cruise till let night to reach Kotka (depend on tide). Dinner & overnight stay at cabin of the motor boat.


Day-3: Explore Sundarbans, the world largest mangrove forest

Reach Katka Island early in the morning. Will anchor the boat for subsequent forest activities. Will Explore inside the forest to observe the wild animals in their own domain. Take a boat cruise through the narrow cricks & you can enjoy the canal cruising by small country boat for bird watching.  After breakfast, some interesting forest activities will be organized which include climbing of watchtower to observe the wild animals, take interesting jungle hiking through the deep covered forest to have the closer look of wild animals and the mangrove vegetation. Walking through the Badamtala beach (2½km) will be a great experience to follow the tiger’s trail down to the beach and savannah type grass lands in the backdrop of the deep covered forest. Return to our boat and sail for Kachikhali Island (Tiger Point – 2 hrs.) which is very famous for wild life habitat and especially for the tiger’s domain.


In the afternoon take an adventurous forest hiking in the covered forest and as well as in the broad grass lands where you can easily observe the big herds of spotted deer and wild boar. To get the glimpse of burning bright shadow of the Royal Bengal Tiger is a common feature in this forest. Return to your boat and enjoy the dinner and stay overnight on the boat’s cabin.

Will starts our return journey & will anchor at a suitable forest station by midnight. Overnight on board.


Day-4: Arrive Mongla & Transfer to Jessore via Bagerhat

Will continue our cruise towards Mongla. After early lunch will disembark the boat at Mongla & transfer to Jessore. En-route visit Sixty Domed Mosque, the world heritage site at Bagerhat. Proceed (3½ hrs.) to Jessore for dinner & overnight stay at your designated hotel in Jessore.


Day-5: Jessore – Bogra via Paharpur & Mohastangarh

7:30 am drive (4 hrs.) to Bogral & check in to your designated hotel. After having early lunch. Transfer (2 hrs.) to Paharpur, UNESCO declared world Heritage Site in 1985. Visit to ruins of Paharpur Vihara, is a treasured heritage of the world. The remains of the most important & the largest known monastery south of Himalaya, built between the 7th century and the 3rd part of 8th century & world heritage site.


En-route visit Mohasthangarh is invariably an ancient fortified city acclaimed to be the oldest settlement and the most prominent archaeological site of Bangladesh. The oldest layer dates back to 4th century  B.C. The ancient Pundranagara, the capital of Emperor Chandragupta, the founder of Moyura dynasty. In the evening return to your hotel for dinner & overnight stay at Bogra.


Day-6: Bogra-Dhaka

After breakfast transfer (5 hrs.) to Dhaka Airport via Bangabandhu Bridge (4.8 km). Lunch at local restaurant & enjoy last minute shopping before transfer to airport to catch your flight.
